Society 3 Lancaster Farm Women 3 met at the home of Alice Trumbauer, - Ephrata, Saturday, November 15 Thirty-five members were present as well as several visitors and former mem bers During the meeting, Mrs Hollmger, chairman of the social service committee, distributed lap robes to be finished by the members for nursing home patients Members will give a contribution of $5O for Christmas gifts to the Mental Health Association and a $5O contnubtion to Lancaster Association for Retarded Citizens Members will visit shut-in members and sing Christ mas carols on December 17 They will meet at the Cloister Diner, Ephrata at 6 p.ra. Lancaster Co, Society 11 Farm Women 11 met at the Chestnut Level Church on October 30. Each member answered roll call by telling their favorite fall scene Two new farm women societies have been formed, making the total 32 now. The society will visit Conestoga View on January 15 A contribution was given to Quarryville Library and also Meals on Wheels. Lancaster Co, Society 12 Farm Women 12 met at the home of Irene Fry, Conestoga Roll call was answered by giving the name of the first school and first school teacher of those present DIRECT BANK LOANS TO QUALIFIED APPLICANTS TWO POINTS OVER PRIME Donations were given to three charitable organizations A da> of crafts was planned for January 20 at the home of Elsie Shenk, Lan caster. A Christmas party for members and their guests will be held December 6 at the Lions Community Building, Millersvilie. Lancaster Co, Society 14 Farm Women Society 14 met at the home of Pauline Stoltzfus on November 12 at Ipm A "Show and Tell” item was brought by each member, which was shown as she responded to the roll call. Refreshments were served by our hostesses, Marion Rohrer, Mildred Herr and Martha Herr. Mike Martin showed in teresting slides of Germany and many other European countries visited during the tune he served as a summer missionary in Germany under World Wide European Fellowship Miriam Leaman and Pauline Stoltzfus were in stalled as president and Ist vice president, respectively, for 1981 and 82 Nora Herr will be installed as 2nd vice president at a later meeting. Gladys Esbenshade was elected county treasurer at the county convention held November 1 at the Farm and Home Center. A dinner meeting will be held December 6 at the Hershey Farms Restaurant, after which will be the Christmas Show at the Sight & Sound Auditorium RATES AS LOW AS Berks Co. Society 12 Berks Farm Women 12 met at the home of Glenna Hue, Mohrsville. Guest speaker for the evening was Mrs Sara Graeff of Sinking Spring, who gave a demonstration on dried flower arrangements. Berks Heim Bingo is November 13 at 7.30 p.m The women donated many presents for the bingo Berks Heim wants Christmas cookies for diebetic patients bj December 10 The women will meet at the Christmas Village at 7 p.m. and tour it From there they go to the Mable Strunk home for their meeting. Each member is to bring a Christmas present for a gift exchange. York Co. Society 12 Farm Women 12 met at the home of Mrs Helena Stover, Yoe. A safety program was presented by Mrs. Nancy Eichelberger and Norma Linginfelter entitled ‘Sharing the road with a truck ” Both women are employed by George s Transfer, Parkton, Maryland.
