Society 13 Society of Farm Women 13 met September 12, at the Sight Saving Center, Lan caster. A very interesting tour of the building was conducted by Marian Campbell. A gift of $25.00 was given to the Center. The devotions were led by Sonja Denlinger. Roll call was answered by each member telling what they wish they would have learned to do. Dues were collected and tickets for the County Convention, to be held November 1, were distributed. Final plans were made for the Food Stand to be held at Ervin Brown’s sale on Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27. Hostesses were Mrs. Ruth Schroeder and Mrs. Lydia Denlinger. Hie next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Nettie Bare, Witmer, with Mrs. Suzanna Reitzelas co-hostess. Lancaster Co. Society 19 Lancaster Society 19 met m the home of Ruth Martin, 154 Owl Hill Road, Lititz. Gloria Althouse, Manheim, presented her gift wrap accomplishments. Using her imagination to implement items that one finds in most homes and might be thrown out as junk, she created a clever gift package for each mpntb of the year. Gloria requested that each member use her ingenuity in wrapping just one special package in the coming year. Plans were discussed concerning: a tour to Brandywine Museum and Longwood Gardens - October 11; Homemaker’s Day - October 20-21; and County Convention - November 1 at the Farm and Home Center. The group will be en tertained October 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Bird-in-Hand Fire Hall by members of Society 28. Lancaster Co. Society 28 Lancaster County Society of Farm Worden 28 held their September meeting at the home of Doris Groff, Bird-In- Hand. The program for the evening was a Play for Family Living, presented by Family and Children Ser vice. Society 20 farm Women Society 20 met at the home of Vera Fahnestock with 15 mem bers present. The program was “show & tell”, with crocheted items. Patricia was picked from among the 106,000 youth who annually take part in the Extension Service educational 4-H program. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sedor, she is a Sophomore at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. A member of the Eben sburg Area 4-H Club, she served as president, secretary, treasurer, and news reporter. She also assisted with club activities and events as a teen leader. The state clothing contest Bazaar last Friday at the Lebanon Plaza. The next meeting will be a masquerade party at Barb Harding’s home. Plans were also discussed for the November & December meetings.
