It was learned that the heart of a pig is used to repair the human heart The choice for the year’s project is the Lancaster County Hospice program for the terminally ill. Society 28 Lancaster County Society 28 met recently at the home of Mrs Lloyd Denlmger. Mary Dickason presented the group with a slide presentation of the Holy Lands, titled “The Desert Shall Bloom As A Rose.” The members present were asked to encourage new membership The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs William Dean, Jr., R D. 1, Strasburg, on March 27 The program will be a Silent Sale. The program will be Decorating Easter Eggs. Monday, March 17th at 7:30 p.m. our group will meet at the home of Doris Shenk. This will be a craft night with each member making a Band Box. Each member should bring scissors, ruler, margarine bowl, and % inch paint brush. Our guest speaker was Christine Erb who spent 6 months living m Japan through the IFFY 4-H ex change program. Christine, dressed as a Japanese woman, presented slides and talked with us about her stay in Japan living with 17 dif ferent families. Lancaster Co. Society 30 The February meeting of Lancaster Society 30 was held at the home of Nancy Neff, Christiana. A silent auction was held to raise funds for the club’s various projects. The next meeting will be March 17 at the Welsh Mountain Good Samaritan Home with members and their children giving a program Lancaster Co. Society 26 A Valentine luncheon was served by Mary E. Hake at her home this month. Mrs. Kenneth Kann and Mrs. Brenda Grogg, auditors for the club, presented their 1979 report.
