\ 9 HARRISBURG - Lan caster County swept the open, junior and vocational divisions of the 1980 State Farm Show’s tobacco show. The grand champion wrapper and filler entries originated from the Rohrer Lancaster’s tobacco growers sweep State Show family farm south of Strasburg. Donald Rohrer of Lime Valley Rd. exhibited the grand champion fillers. His daughter, Dawn, had the grand champion wrappers. Three additional Rohrer family members, Lois, Tern Lynn, and Gail exhibited tobacco. The family earned a total of twelve placmgs. J. Marlin Miller of Wilson Drive Lancaster had the first place long binder type tobacco. Mike E. Rohrer of R 1 Strasburg exhibited short binders to earn the top honors. In the Junior 4-H Class competition, Jeff Barley of R 2 Lancaster took home the first place wrapper honors Lancaster Farming, Saturday, January 12,1980—C13 while James Stauffer earned the first place filler awards. , The vocational agriculture exhibits were controlled by Donald Dohner of Elizabethtown and James Harmsh of R 6 Lancaster. Lancaster Countians exhibited 163 of the 164 en tries. John Yocum of the Field Research Lab Farm in Landisville was the show judge.
