Horse Club members honored at banquet BY DEBRA STRICKLER SCHAEFFERSTOWN - County, District and State awards were distributed to numerous Lebanon County 4- H horse club members at their annual banquet on December 11 Nearly 175 members, parents, club leaders and guests attended the dinner held at the Schaefferstown Fire Hall Pam Ludwick, a member of the Hoof and Horns 4-H Club, served as the mistress of ceremonies for the evening. In her special remarks, Linda Rohrbach, Lebanon County 4-H Agent, organized a skit which told the 4-H Horse Club’s story in Lebanon County. Seven 4-H leaders and club members participated The skit recognized the various trail rides 4-H’ers complete, Lebanon County’s third place finish in the State Horse Judging Contest, the importance of a leader and the opportunity 4-H’ers have to attend leadership con ferences. District, and State Show awards. Brandt sponsored the tropics which were presented to the grooming and showmanship recipients. Carla Ditzler of the Equestrians 4-H Club took the grooming and showmanship honors of the junior division. Beth Royer of the Palm Trail Blazers was awarded the senior division grooming and showmanship trophy. National Central Bank supplied trophies for the Equitation Awards.
