The Lancaster Countian will have responsibility for administering the Grange’s agricultural policy making procedure for the coming year. State Grange Master Charles Wxsmer said he thinks Wood will do a good job in the position because of Wood’s background in~ agriculture and his ex perience in local politics. He has served for three years on the Lancaster County Farmers Home Administration committee, and was chairman of the Community Committee of theASCS. He has served on the State Grange Agriculture Com mittee since 1974. In local government he Janet Pifer wins 4-H clothing scholarship been named one of six national winners in the 4-H clothing program. Janet Pifer, Route 3, Box currently is serving on the Lancaster County Area Refuse Authority. He is the sewerage enforcement of ficer for Little Britain Township. Wood has 400 acres in crops on his home farm. The new Legislative Committee Chairman is a Washington County dairyman. Vernon Cox, West Alexander, also brings to his new position a wide range of experience in activities off his 500 acre farm. He is a Milk Marketing Inc. delegate, and a member of the Pittsburgh Food and Nutrition Dairy Council. He has been a member of the Washington County Extension Executive Committee for 12 years.
