He also served as president of the Pennsylvania Seedsmen’s Association and Atlantic Seedsmen’s Seed Trade Association’s Farm Seed Division. Beachley served on the board of the Penn State College of Agriculture Ad visory Council and PennAg Industries Association. Currently he is vice president of the Penn sylvania Foundation Seed Cooperative. Hardy, they formed the Beachley-Hardy Seed Company, and he has served as president the past 28 years. Active in community affairs, the award winner is a member of the West Shore Rotary Club and Robert Bums Lodge. Beachley also is an elder of the Paxton Presbyterian Church of Harrisburg. In 1978, the Club 200 member with the highest yield winner was Earl Huber, Conestoga. His yield of 214.6 bushels of com per acre won him and his wife a trip to Bermuda.
