Drivers had painted signs to adorn the tractors, carrying messages like: “Help support agriculture’s new generation - FFA,” “Southwestern for agriculture’s new generation - FFA,” and “National FFA week.” OCTORARA FFA Octorara High School FFA in Chester County worked on several projects to disseminate information about FFA around their AGRI-BUI LOER Slate. student body. Along with a radio broadcast for a local station, they distributed FFA pocket calendars throughout the school, put up posters, and constructed window exhibits. The exhibit covered all phases of agriculture and included the projects the FFA members complete and the com petitions they can enter. It also incorporated a slide presentation on “What is FFA?” SOLANCOFFA The 50th anniversary flag of the FFA waved in the breezes above the high school this week. The FFA ... in business of managing that investment ... insures a new generation for agriculture.” That statement is one of a series of announcements Solanco’s FFA members broadcasted on the school’s public ad dress system each morning. Solanco brought additional pride to the FFA earlier this year when Chapter Vice- President Lester Hershey finished second in a national medallion design contest. The winning medallion was issued last November at the National Convention in honor of the organization’s 50th year.
