December 24.1977 96 Beef club holds meeting LEESPORT - The Berks County 4-H Baby Beef Club had its monthly meeting on December 14 at the Agriculture Center in Bern Township. New members were given project books and shown how to tram their new steer-calves. They also had election of officers for 1978 as follows: president - Sandy Kohl, Mohrsville; vice president - Ann Holcombe, Mohrsville; secretary - Lon Haas, Douglassville; news reporter - Joe Crisafulli, Mohrsville; activity leaders - Darlene Dietnch, Ham burg, and Ronald Sutliff, Mohrsville; county council representatives - Ronald Sutliff, Mohrsville and Tim Rieger, Leesport. Clyde Myers, county agent, talked about housing and feeding a steer-calf. The next meeting will be held January 25,1978 at the Agriculture Center. Livestock dealer fined $1550 NEW YORK - Gary W. Burback, a livestock dealer of Durhamville, N.Y., has been fined $1550 by a federal court and permanently enjoined from further violations of the registration and bonding requirements of the Packers and Stockyards (P&S) Act, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) of ficials said recently. Burback operates throughout New York. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York ordered Burback to pay the $1550 civil penalty and permanently enjoined him from operating as a dealer or market agency without registering and filing a bond under the P&S Act.
