—Lancaster Farming,'Saturday, December 17,1977 90 Radius still 25 miles HARRISBURG - As of now, the farm truck registration limits the iise of such vehicles exclusively for farming purposes and only on highways within a 25 mile radius of the farm from which it is based. However, there is a bill (Bill No. 1171 - Omnibus Motor Vehicle Bill) which is being considered in Penn sylvania and included in that bill is the changing of the radius distance from 25 miles to SO miles. This is the only change that affects the farm truck registration, according to sources at the Pa. Dept, of Transportation. This bill has passed the Pa. House of Represen tatives and is now being considered by the Pa. Senate Trasportation Committee. Future action on this bill at an unknown time will determine whether the registration radius of farm trucks will be changed to 50 miles. Farmers market meeting set HARRISBURG - Plans for next year’s Farm Show Farmers Market will be discussed at a meeting to be held at 10 a.m. December 19 in the State Agriculture Building, here. Robert Labenberg, Zion Grove, president of the Pennsylvania Farmers Open Air Market Association, said the meeting is open to all bonafide farmers. The association operates the market where homegrown fruit, vegetables, and flowers are sold May through Novem ber.
