July 30. 1977 18 Lancaster 4-H Dairy Roundup Champions named QUARRYVILLE - The biggest suprise at this year’s Lancaster County 4-H Dairy Round-up came when a junior Jersey calf owned by 10-year old Patrick Bukowsld was named grand champion. She beat last year’s grand champion, a 3- year old owned by Matt Arrowsmith. In the Holstein show. defending champion Sandy Frey captured the limelight with her Sunnyside Standout daughter. A year ago she showed the same animal to first place in the 2-year old class. Karen Schmuck’s Ayr shire stood first in the breed. Kerry Boyd beat the com petition in the Brown Swiss show. The top Guernsey was shown by Connie Balmer. The Round-up was held at the Quarryville Fairgrounds, where a third barn was recently erected.
