—Lancaster Farming, Saturday. May 7, 1977 38 4-H officers elected The Schuylkill County 4-H Council recently elected officers. Joyce, Greenbriar Horse and Pony Club, Vice-president: (top row) Jodi Koury, Greenbriar Horse and Pony Club, Treasurer: and Chris Balmer, Hegins Valley Trailriders, Historian. The 4-H Teen Council is made up of 4-H members who have had experience in 4-H. The purpose of the council is to involve youth in planning and conducting county-wide activities. 4-H is an educational youth program sponsored through the Schuylkill County Cooperative Extension Service of The Pennsylvania State University. Horse club announces coming events The Saddle Cinches 4-H Horse and Pony Club has announced its schedule of events for the coming year. On May 14 they will hold a work day at Dan Fellen baum’s, and the list of events for June is as follows; 1- Riders must have coggins test, 17-4-H meeting and demonstration on how to make hay nets, 18-4-H gymkanria. A trip to Cowtown is also scheduled. On July 23 the club will attend the county round-up at the Lancaster Riding Club, and on August 20 they will take part in the open horse show at the Lancaster Riding club. August will also include a one-day trail ride. Hie district horse show is set for September, the state horse show for November, and the 4-H banquet for all members in Lancaster County for December 3. ?
