April 30, 1977 County 4-H’ers join State Capital Days activities HARRISBURG, Pa. - April 18 and 19 proved to be ex citing days for many 4-H members from across the state. Representatives from all counties of Pennsylvania met in Harrisburg to par ticipate in State 4-H Capital Days, one of the highlights of the state 4-H citizenship program. Four members represented Berks County, they were: James Adam, Windsor Township; Dennis Dietrich, Tilden Twp.; Janie Malsbury, Tulpehocken Twp.; and Kim Oswald, Maxatawny Twp. While in Harrisburg they received a guided tour of the State Capitol Building, visited their local legislators, and participated in educational workshops designed to increase their understanding of the legislative process. The 4-H members also visited various govern mental departments such as Environmental Resources, Agriculture, PennDOT, and Revenue. The county delegation sponsored a legislative breakfast April 19, where legislators and represen tatives discussed local issues and defined the purpose of the educational youth program. Speakers at the breakfast were Dr. Thomas B. King, associate dean for Extension at Pennsylvania State University and Claude Anderson, Dauphin County 4-H member. Sharing ideas on local government issues during a special legislative breakfast at State 4-H Capital Days in Harrisburg April 18-19, are, from left; Represen tative, John S.
