While at college, she spent one of her Summers working on a farm. “I did such things as feeding cattle, and field work,” she told Lancaster Farming. While in school, Mrs. Schaeffer served as secretary of the Block and Bridle Club for two years. Her extracurricular ac tivities included field hockey. Her interests besides agriculture include skiing, skating, and swim ming. She also enjoys gar dening, the outdoors and meeting people. In working for Lancaster Farming the new correspondent hopes to be of service to the paper and the Berks Countians it serves. “I also believe I will be learning more about agriculture at the same time,” she says. The pump offers two inch suction and discharge openings, cast iron body and impeller, and semi-open impeller design that permits pass-through of small solids.
