During the convention, Linda was elected vice president of the Junior Holstein Association’s state executive board. Distinguished Junior Boy is Dale Wack, Zelienople, in Butler County. Dale, at age 20, is a junior at Ohio State University, majoring in dairy science. He hopes after graduation to work as a Holstein Association field man, with the long term goal of returning to the farm as a dairyman. Dale grew up on a small family farm, where his parents raise dairy heifers. He owns several animals, some singly and some in partnership. A member last year of the Junior Association’s state executive board, he has participated in 4-H work for five years. Key speaker for the convention program was Mr. Art Nesbit, president of Nasco, Inc., Ft. Atkinson, Wise. The ag-business leader is a former Pennsylvania Holstein Association Secretary-Fieldman, and is well known to the convention delegates. Nesbit spoke on positive approaches to agri-business problems and life in general “Keep repeating values until they’re subconsciously registered in people’s minds,” emphasized the ag leader during a portion of his talk which focused on promotion.
