Allis-Chalmers geared MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Some 2,000 dealers and company representatives from around the world at tended the National Sales Meeting of the Agricultural Equipment Divisions, Allis- Chalmers Corp., held here, earlier this summer. Three, two-day sessions were held which included agricultural equipment dealers from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Venezuela. In a message to the groups during the meeting, David C. Scott, chairman of the board, chief executive officer and president of Allis-Chalmers, described the Agricultural Equipment group as one of the core businesses of the corporation. Scott said wholesale sales for the group had increased approximately 20 per cent during 1975 over 1974, and that sales for the first half of 1976 have continued that trend. “World needs for agricultural commodities will continue to grow,” Scott said. “Many nations of the world have recognized the necissity of agricultural development as the basic key to overall economic growth, and the conclusion is obvious and encouraging - demand for agricultural equipment will be quite strong over the next five years and beyond.” The sales meeting covered all aspects of the company’s agricultural products and operations, including tractors, combines, im plements, lawn and garden equipment, parts operations, service and merchandising.
