The auctioneer was Lloyd H. Kreider. On April 24 a public sale of 54 bred gilts of the famous 3 way cross were sold by Henry H. Martin of Rl, Richland, Pa. 18 gilts were delivered to N. York. The top price for a bred gilt was $465. The one boar sold at the sale brought $365, with the overall average being $383 for the 55 head sold. G. Harvey Weik was the auctioneer. Livestock and farm equipment was sold April 23 by Clarence Auker of Akron, Lancaster Co., Pa. Guernsey cows $395 to $520, driving horses $l6O to $460, and a pair of working horses $lB5O.
