Pickett, Director, Animal Reproduction Laboratory, Colorado State University, has agreed to present a two hour lecture titled “Semen Production, Collection, Evaluation and Artificial training session The annual Grcenhand Quiz contest was held in the early afternoon with 25 FFA’ers competing. Harvey Smith, area FFA consultant, conducted the contest which saw the youths answer questions concerning FFA and its development. Scott Ritchie, Northern Lebanon High School cap tured first in the quiz contest with Eugene Hoffman and Jere Hurst, both representing Elco High School, tied for second.. Elvin Gingrich, secretary of the County FFA, spoke to the group on his trip to the will include dressage, hunters, jumpers, western pleasure, reining and pleasure horse training. One session will be devoted to Thoroughbred racing, development and training from the weanling to the starting gate. Headquarters for the seminar will be at the Sheraton Inn, Fredericksburg, Va. Lectures will be conducted at the Inn and demonstrations will be held at Rapidan River Farm, Lignum, and other leading farms in the area. The seminar welcomes ideas and suggestions, and ad vertising for programs and proceedings to be published.
