Farm Women Societies Society 19 Society of Finn Women No. 19 met at Landisville Church of God with Society No. 4 aa guests and county officers for a delicious luncheon. (K.J-XB2I Johnson and Mrs. Robert Nolt, president of Society No. 4. Mrs. David Yoder led devotions, basing her thoughts on Psalms 104. Secretary's and treasurer’s reports were given. Each member responded to roll call by introducing her guest. Mrs. John Ruhl called the business meeting to order. Mrs. Daniel Rohrer presented the slate for election of officers. Results were Mrs. Harold Saylor elected as vice president and Mrs. Lloyd Rohrer as treasurer with Mrs. Charles Musser as assistant treasurer. Mrs. Clayton Geib will write to our fosterchild in South America. The Society donated $2O to United Campaign Funds. October 16 at 1:30 members will go to Conestoga View to entertain guests. County Farm Convention members will be registering at 9:30 a.xn. at Lancaster Bible College November 2. Price and label your donation for the bazaar table. "Sew a long gown” is the project and winners enter State Contest. Mrs. Kenneth Warfel will be responsible to bring two planter arrangements for table decoration for November 2. Anyone wishing to contribute to Needlework Guild have children’s clothes at the Iris Club November 12. “New England Scrap book” consisting of a relaxing musical slide presentation was given by Janet and Elizabeth Kreider. The next meeting will be held at 1:30 November 9 at Landisville Church of God. Society 2 Farm Women Society 2 met at the home of Mrs. Margie Shelly, RD2 Lititz, on October 12th. Mrs. Shelly served as hostess with Grace Miller as co-hostess. The opening song was “0 Worship the King” with Betty Geib having devotions that included a poem “Oc tober” and gave the definition of what is a promise. The devotions were concluded by the reading of Hebrews 11:1-31. Roll call was given by members paying their dues. Elsie Witmer, president, conducted the business meeung and reported on the county executive meeting. Grace Miller was elected as secretary for the next two years with Pauline Gordley to serve as vice-president also for the next two years. Secret sisters of last year were revealed and members chose new secret sisters for the coming year. The group decided to purchase a gift for Brian Hollinger who was injured in an accident and is in the hospital. Mrs. Paul Sarell of RD2 Manheim was received into the society by Beulah Graybill. The next meeting will be November 9th at the home of Mrs. Paul Donough, RD4, Manheim. Society 22 Farm Women Society 22 met at the home of Mrs. Harold Ranck on October Bth. The society decided to give $5OO. to the Goodwill In dustries after listening to Joyce Burkholder our guest speaker from Goodwill. The Society also decided to give $2OO to aid the hurricane stricken country of Hon duras. Members will be en tertaining their husbands at a hockey game on November 9th. The next meeting will be held at Ann Diller’s.
