Lebanon Co. 4-H Clubs Myerstown 4-H Club By Lorah Laycer 4-H Balden The Raiders 4-H Club of Myerstown held two meetings this week in the home of Mrs. Donald Greenlee, Myerstown RDI. The older members of the club had their meeting Tuesday. They made macaroni and cheese and sweet-sour stringbeans. They also filled out entry forms for the 4-H Fair which will be held in August. The younger members came for their meeting later the same day. All of the members attended a business meeting which was conducted by President Amy Balsbaugh. Avon East By Kathryn Laoaberry Avon-East Lebanon The Avon-East Lebanon 4- H Club met this week in the Avon Zion United Methodist Church, Eighteen girls and leaders, Mrs. Earl E. Kittle, Mrs. Leroy Deckert, Mrs. Lynford Krissinger and Miss Ruth Kittle, attended. Demonstrations were given by Karen Boyd and Kathryn Lansberry entitled “Honey Milk Balls.” “Decorating Cupcakes” was presented by Sue Edris and Diane Truffa. Sharon Deckert presided at the business meeting. The secretary’s report was given by Jane Emerich. Karen Kittle gave the treasurer’s report. Mrs. Kittle explained the procedure of entering projects at the 4-H Fair and Dress Review. meeting, the young mem bers made homemade ice cream and worked on their sewing projects. ROOF PROBLEMS? Committees were appointed for the club’s roundup Aug. 6. Serving on the game committee will be Mrs. Carence Ulrich, Joy Darkes, Jody Peffley, Kathy Darkes and Carol Emrich. Miss Ruth Kittle, Audrey Eber sole, Jane Krissinger, Usa Brandt and Kelly Sahonic will serve on the song committee. Mrs. Kittle’s and Mrs. Krissinger’s cooking classes will serve on the refreshment committee. Refreshments were served by Kelley and Vicki Sahonic and Jane Emerich. The next meeting will be held on August 6 at the church.
