Sift flour; measure and add salt, soda and baking powder. Sift again. Add sifted dry ingredients and stir until well mixed. Toss onto a slightly floured board and roll in an oblong piece y«-inch thick. Spread lightly with soft butter and cover with cherries. Sprinkle cherries with cinnamon and suger. Everett Kreider with 33 members present. Plans for the Farm Women annual County Convention being held on November 3 at the Lancaster School of the Bible, are in full swing. Reports given by the Bazaar Committee are asking that all Farm Women members support the Bazaar by baking pies and homemade goodies and also canned items. Visitation of Conestoga View Home will be by Society 9 and 10 on Oct. 19 at 1:30 p.m. and in November, Societies 11 and 12. The State board meeting report was given by Mrs. Aaron H. Denlinger, president. She stated the State Convention will be held January 8 and 9,1973, at the Penn Harris Motor Inn, Harrisburg, with a menu of baked ham at the cost of $4.50. The program will be a “Do It Yourself” program with each County participating. Lancaster County will be putting on a skit entitled, “Parade for Safety.” Next meeting will be on December 5, at which time all new Society presidents will be in attendance. Have You Entered Yet?
