1 egg
% cup sour cream
2 cups flour
y 4 teaspoon Soda
2 l A teaspoon baking powder
% teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups drained cherries
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Beat egg and add sour cream.
Sift flour; measure and add
salt, soda and baking powder.
Sift again. Add sifted dry
ingredients and stir until well
mixed. Toss onto a slightly
floured board and roll in an
oblong piece y«-inch thick.
Spread lightly with soft butter
and cover with cherries.
Sprinkle cherries with cinnamon
and suger.
Roll up like a jelly rool and cut
in crosswise slices, 114 inches
thick. Place slices close
together, cut side turned up in a
greased baking pan.

Executive Board
The Lancaster County Farm
Women Executive Board met
recently at the home of Mrs. J.
Everett Kreider with 33 members
present.
Plans for the Farm Women
annual County Convention being
held on November 3 at the
Lancaster School of the Bible, are
in full swing. Reports given by
the Bazaar Committee are asking
that all Farm Women members
support the Bazaar by baking
pies and homemade goodies and
also canned items. These things
will be sold to help defray ex
penses of the convention. Each
local society is requested to
participate and support the
convention.

subject, “Uniquely a Woman”.
There will be special music as
well as election of a new County
secretary and treasurer.
Six women from several
societies stuffed envelopes for the
Tuberculosis and Health Society,
630 Janet Ave., for the Christmas
Seal Campaign.
Visitation of Conestoga View
Home will be by Society 9 and 10
on Oct. 19 at 1:30 p.m. and in
November, Societies 11 and 12.
The State board meeting report
was given by Mrs. Aaron H.
Denlinger, president. She stated
the State Convention will be held
January 8 and 9,1973, at the Penn
Harris Motor Inn, Harrisburg,
with a menu of baked ham at the
cost of $4.50. The program will be
a “Do It Yourself” program with
each County participating.
Lancaster County will be putting
on a skit entitled, “Parade for
Safety.”
Next meeting will be on
December 5, at which time all
new Society presidents will be in
attendance.
