Octorara FFA Last Wednesday, August 25, Gerald Metzler, John Hollinger and Joey Underwood of the Oc torara FFA Chapter took five animals to the Southeastern Dis trict FFA Dairy Show at the Farm Show Building in Harris burg. They competed against FFA members from the southeastern Pennsylvania counties for a chance to go to the State Junior Dairy Show in September. Underwood showed a Guernsey intermediate heifer calf. He placed second in bis class receiv ing a red ribbon. Hollinger showed 2 Ayrshires. He received blue ribbons for both his senior yearling and aged cow, making him eligible to show both animals at the state show. The members exhibiting at either or both the Kimberton and Goshen Fairs were Don Windle, Joey Underwood, Randy Mills, Robert Mills, Gerald Metzler and John Hollinger. The cooking club’s theme was “Foods Around the World,” featuring foods from different countries.
