Continue on Breneman Road, turning left at the T to Safe Harbor Road, turn right tor about one quarter mile, then turn left on Indian Run Road, and stay on Indian Run Road by turning right past Stehman’s Church. Just beyond the church is the fifth Amos sign at the Kreider-Diller farm Proceed one-half mile to the T in the road at the Walnut Hill Road, turn left and proceed across Little Conestoga Creek, make a hard right on Creek Road and go for one-tenth mile, turn right on Rock Hill Road for one-half mile to the T, then go left After crossing the Conestoga Creek, the road becomes Long Lane At this point, note the Fish Commission access on the left as you cross the Conestoga Proceed on Long Lane for one-half mile to the sixth Amos sign at the Robert Haunsh farm Continue for one-half mile to the stop sign, turn left on Steh man Road From here to the Conestoga Creek notice the roadside erosion control, in cluding crown vetch, by the Pennsylvania Department of Transpoi tation After crossing the Conestoga, there are two conservation signs at the Amos Funk farm. Then proceed straight ahead to the stop sign at Millersville which is back at the starting point. Elsewhere, the district uiged FFA members desiring to be a host for a city youth during the three day program July 21- 23, to contact their vo-ag teach er Homes still are needed for 18 youths. The program is de signed to show city youths farm life. Fred Mast Gets DeKaSb Award Fred Mast has been announc ed as the winner of the 1971 Twin Valley FFA Chapter De- Kalb Agricultural Accomplish ment award This award is given to the outstanding senior in the voca tional agriculture department. The award consists of a certifi cate and pin which was pre sented by Francis B Wood, principal of the Twin Valley High School, at the Senior Awards Assembly Friday, May 28. Mast was chosen to receive this award on the basis of scho larship, leadership, and his su pervised farming program He is the son of Mr and Mrs Ira Mast, Elverson RD2 A senior at Twin Valley High School, he has held the follow ing FFA offices chaplain, treasui er, president, Berks County chaplain He has received many awards and degrees both in FFA and 4-H. In January, he received the Keystone Farmer Degree, which'is presented to the top two per cent of the FFA mem bers in Pennsylvania each year. His FFA farming program has included field corn, dairy cows, dairy heifers, dairy calves, gaidemng, and veal calves After graduation. Mast plans to remain on the farm with his parents Mast is the sixth DeKalb Award winner from Twin Val ley High School and his name will be engraved with the other winners on a special honors plaque provided by the spon sor. 25
