But 'according to Orval Bass, of the U. S Soil Conservation Service, of more importance to the Lancaster County Farm Community is the percentage of the best farm' land that would be taken m each case. (A) Land class No 1 & 2, 55 percent; Land class No. 3, 36 percent; Land class No. 4 & over, 10 percent; Total acres, 428 (B) Land class 'No 1 & 2, 55 percent; Land class No. 3, 27 percent; Land class 4 & over, 18 percent, Total acres, 482. (B North) Land class No. 1 & 2, 54 percent; Land class No. 3, 29 percent; Land class No. 4 & over 17 percent; Total acres, 498 (C) Land class No. 1 & 2, 66 percent; Land class No. 3, 21 percent; Land class No. 4 & over, 11 percent, Total acres, 567 All of the land that would be taken out of farm production by each of the four routes was rated according to its produc tivity. The survey shows that Route C would take the most of the best farm land while Route B North would take the least. Also, B North would include nearly the most class 4 and over land having only 1 percent less of this type land than Route B,
