Pork production was up 3 per cent trom a year earlier, the only category to show an in crease. Beet was down 9 per cent; veal down 5 percent, and lamb and mutton down 9 percent. The last increase in red meat production in Pennsyl vania was recorded last March when the total was 13 percent higher than in March 1904. Since the first of the year, meat production in Pennsvyl vania totaled approximately 6 percent less than in the first nine months last year.
