Colorful Lantfaster Farming, Saturday, June 8,1963 —1 X Future Farmers Will Attend State Conclave Eighty six Future Farmers of America from 10 chapters in the county will travel to the Pennsylvania State Univer sity next week to participate in judging contests, parliamen tary proceedure contests, dem onstiations, chorus, band, and meetings during the. annual state FIFA summer convention. Accompanying the boys will be 14 teachers of vocational agriculture from the 10 sch ools. Participation in contests is based on the number of boys enrolled in vocational agricul ture in the school with one boy in ten being eligible to compete. In addition, schools may send as many chorus and band members as are accepted The parliamentary proceedure team which represents the re gion and all officer candidates are also above the quota. Bolanco, with 26 boys and two teachers, will have the largest delegation, followed by Grasslands Chapter at New Hol land, with 14 boys and two teachers Solanco, with the lar- gest quota based on-boya en rolled, have, in addition, the parliamentary proceedure team and seven in chorus and two in band Penn Manor Chapter at Mil lersville will have a delegation of nine boys and two teachers while Lanmipeter-Strasburg and Manheim Central will each send seven boys. Two teachers will go from Manheim and one trom Lampeter-S trasburg. Other schools sending one tea cher will have the following number of boys - Pequea Val ley, five; Ephrata, live; Eliza bethtown, four, Donegal, five, and Warwick, four. The convention will be held June 12, 13 and 14.
