Medium and good stoekers made 28 -30.25. A tew lots good grade stock calves sold at 32-36. Calf receipts will total ab out 100 head more than last week’s 485 head count. Trad ing was moderately active. Vealers closed 1 lower with the decline coming on Wed. good and choice vealers made 29-35 and choice and prime grade sold for 35-37, a few* prime vealers reached 39 on Mon. Standard and low-good brought 23-29, and Utility sold down to 18. Trading was moderately active for about 1500 head, of hogs, about, 450 head less than last week. Barrows and gilts closed fully steady. Sow were steady. U. S. 1-3 grade 190-230 lb. barrows and giltd commanded 18-18.50, a few lots No. 3 sold down to 17.75. Percentage of the vari ous clashes in -receipts virt ually the same as last week except the percentage of cows decreased somewhat and was the smallest for any week so far this year. Fully 75 per cent slaughter steers, around! 15 per cent heifers and bare ly 5 per cent cows. Prime steers still very sc arce although small increase m the percentage of prime compared last week.
