County Entries At ‘Keystone’ Swell Classes HARRISBURG Fred Frey RD2, Quarryville, winner of the on-foot phase of the steer carcass show at the Pennsylvania Na tional Livestock Exposition last year, has entered three head of Aligns steers in the 1958 show. The 1958 Livestock Exposition will be held November 10 through 14 at the State Farm Show Build ing in Harrisburg. There is no admission charge to the big live stock show which is expected to draw up to 100,000 visitors this year Deadline for Livestock en tries is October 1. Frey, a young breeder who maintains a sizable registered An gus herd in southern Lancaster County, is among 14 Pennsylvania breeders who have entered live stock m the show as of today Cat tle entries so far total 96 head, including state and out of state entries Other Lancaster Countians to he showing in the beet division are Miss Betty Jane Hess, Eliza oethtown, Dennis Sangrey. Cone stoga, Miss Leona Augsburger, Remholds; and John A Haish, Kinzers. Sangrey is showing two animals in the junior show, the other junior showmen one animal each ABC and Edna Groff’s Staf fer Homestead Farm, East Earl, has entered 36 head of Hamp shire swine in the Keystone In ternational Manager Earl Fisher will show 11 head in the breed irg class, nine head in market classes, six head m the carcass show and 10 head m the truckload show Stauffer Homestead Farm re cently swept 15 of 19 first places in swine shows at the Reading (Berks County) Fair and the Pennsylvania Hampshire Show The farm had both grand and re -1 serve boars. A total of 439 head of cattle, swine and sheep form the van guard of an anticipated 3 000 head entry list for the Pennsyl vania Livestock Exposition.
