I B—Lancaster Farming, Friday, July 25, ID5B> New, Milk, Egg Records Set During June HARRISBURG Milk cows and laying hens continued to set monthly Pennsylvania production iccords during June, the State Department of Agriculture report cd today- Despite the fact there were fewer milk cows on farms, pro duction during June totaled 609 million pounds, a record for the month and one per cent greater than the output in June, 1957, the Pennsylvania Crop Reporting Service said Cool June weather spurred egg production which totaled 294 mil lion for the month a 7 per cent gain over the 275 million for June 1957, the Crop Reporting Service added. The number of layers de clined less than usual from May to June.
