Shape into small meat balls about l‘A inches in diameter. Melt shortening in large, heavy skillet. Add meat balls and brown evenly on all side's Meanwhile, prepare sauce and water. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens When meat balls are browned, add sauce to skillet. Bring mix ture to boiling, cover and reduce heat Simmer 35 to 40 minutes. To cook noodles, add four tea spoons salt and noodles to one and one-half quartes boiling wat er Boil rapidly, stirring constant ly, for 2 minutes Cover, remove from heat -and let stand 10 minu tes Rinse with hot water and drain .well. Turn noodles onto heated serving platter and top vulh meat balls Pour sauce over all and serve. Makes six servings.
