Christmas Trees To Bring Lower Wholesale Prices Ilansiburg, Jan 13 Commer cial Chrismas tree growers were (old to piepare for a cut in prices at wholesale levels in 1958 J. B. Althouse of the Federal-State Ci op Repoiting Service, made he prediction during a Farm Show meeting here Althousc, who was in charge 01 a recently completed statewide survey of Christmas tree growers to determine marketing habits and average prices, attributed the price slash for 1958 trees to retail price cutting last year when many trees were unsold near Christmas Nearly 93 per cent of the 2,600 Christmas tree growers queued on the survey contributed infor mation, Althouse said.
