Department of Agncul ture announced The new station will make it possible for plant imports to be cleared m as little as three hours after arrival from abroad, accord mg to officials of the USDA’s Plant Quarantine Division Pre viously, incoming plant shipments had to be trucked in bond from Idlewild to the Hoboken (N J ) plant quarantine inspection house tor processing, a procedure which often consumed three days Thus, importers will be saved both time and expense. Furthermore, fhe risk of insect pests escaping dur ing the trip from the airport to Hoboken has been eliminated.
