Mrs. Walter Warfel, the presi dent, conducted the business meeting The Society voted to con tribute $lO to the United Com munity Campaign. Needlework Guild Chairman Mrs. Florella Prowell reported a full quota of garments plus a cash donation for the annual Guild In gathering in November. The Society sewed at the Lan caster General Hospital on Oct. 22. - The November meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Bay Aston, Marticville, witlh Mrs. Ja cob Shauback as co-hostess. Twenty-one members and their husbands at tended. Winning prizes for their cos tumes were; Couple, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kepner; prettiest, Mrs. Clarence Rohrer; ugliest, Mrs Kenneth Habecker; and most Mrs. Cloyd Wenger. New officers for the coming year were installed. They are. President, Mrs. Kenneth Habeck er; vice president, Mrs Donald Kepner; secretary, Mrs. Donald Esbenshade; assistant secretary, Mrs. Harold Ranck; and treas urer, Mrs. William Weller. The Society has been helping with Christmas Seals. A contribu tion of $5 was made to the Com munity Chest. At the next meeting, to be held at 1 30 p. m. Nov. 12 at the home of Mrs. Hubert Wittenberg, Stras burg Pike, Society 23 will be en tertained. Farm Women 16 Plan Apron Sale at Meeting Farm Women Society 16 will meet Nov. 13 at the home of Mrs. Jean Pownall, R 1 Christiana. All members are to bring a homemade apron to be sold after the meeting.
