This is 1 5 per cent of the total state farm income and is down $2 million from 1955. Compared with the 1950-54 av erage, prices received are down a million dollars and percentage wise, down a tenth of a per cent. Acreage this year, according to March 1 intentions, is about the same as last year. The acre age in type 41 tobacco has risen steadily since 1952 when only 28,700 acres were planted. The vote wae 202,68 for (86.2 per cent) and 32,371 against (13.8 per cent).
