RHUBARB FRITTERS Mrs. Amos L, Keener, R 1 Lititz iVz cups flour 2 tablespoons baking powder (scant) Vs teaspoon salt 6 tablespons sugar 1 egg % cup milk 1 cup finely diced rhubarb Mix ingredients and beat two minutes. Society 8 Hears Talk on lottery In England Mrs, Linn Heist of Eden Road, Lancaster, presented a paper on ithe history of pottery in England and the pottery developed by Johnathon Wedgewood at the last meeting of Society of Farm Wo men 8. Mrs. Reist also showed some lovely pieces of Wedgewood and told of her visit to the factory in England last fall. Musical entertainment was giv en by a number of children of members, the Derr twins, the Misses Bixler and Jeffrey Wit man. , The hostesses, Mrs. Clarence Greider.Mrs, Roy Greider, Misses Anna Mae and Ruth Eby served refreshments. During the business meeting, the society decided to rent sewing machines forihe use of the local 4-H sewing "club during the sum mer. The next meeting will be held June 15 at the Donegal Club House. It will be Family Night. Extra Persons Named to Staff For 4-H Work The Lancaster County Exten sion Assn, this week announced the names of two persons who will assist in the extension of fice during the summer. They are Mrs. Mary Jane Hin ish. Honey 'Brook, and Hebert Heilman, R 4 Norristown. Mrs. Hinish is a teacher at Pequea High School. She is a graduate of Juniata College, Hun tington, with a B.S. degree in Home Economics. She will assist with the sum mer program in the 42 home economics 4-H Clubs. Mrs. Hdn ish was assistant in the County two years ago. Heilman is a junior in dairy husbandry at Penn State.
