Robertson, president of the Lancaster Coun ty Poultry Association, and Lit itz Burgess Benjamin Forrest Ed Meixell was chairman during announcement of the * cooking contest winners Miss Weicksel Retires Prizes were awarded winners of the Queen Contest and the Cooking Contest Combination radio-alarm clodks were given winners of the Junior and senior cooking contests, while runners up received “Scotch Coolers ” Crowning this year’s Queen was Miss Ruth Ann Weicksel, Christiana, who retired as royalty this year In addition to her crown, Miss Newcomer was presented a large- trophy,' a Hamilton watch, evening bag and jewelry. Second place win ner received luggage, pearls and a travel clock, while other con testants were given jewelry, handbags, and luggage with com pliments of the County Poultry Association Special exhibits that help pro mote the wider use of poultry included a demonstration of backyard barbecuing under sup ervision of Robert x Elder.
