Key Program in Guernsey Meet Opens on Monday PETERBOROUGH, N H. With the completion of the key Wednesday program, final plans for the 79th annual meeting con vention of the American Guern sey Cattle Club have been releas ed. The AGCC meeting will be in Philadelphia, Pa. and vicinity, May 7-10, with the Pennsylvania and_Delaware Guernsey Breeders Assocations as hosts. The complete program for Wednesday, May 9, will be held in the Bellevue-Stratford hotel, beginning at 10 that morning with the annual business meeting of the American Guernsey Cattle Club. The annual meeting lunch eon, and afternoon sightseeing tours of historic Philadelphia will follow. In the evening, a varied pro gram will be held. This will in clude a reception, musical pro gram, stage show, dinner and dance. The entertainment will be sponsored by Breunmger Dairies of Philadelphia, whose chorus will sing, and by a group of Pennsylvania Guernsey breeders including- James D. Berry, Jr., Titusville, J. Lancaster Farming, Friday, May 4, 1956—15 Penn State Begins Two-Year Program A new two-year program, leading to a new degree, that of “Associate” will be started at the Pennsylvania State Univer sity in the College of Agricul ture, with the Fall semester. The new program is designed to pro vide the technical training in a variety of fields associated with agriculture, Dr D. R. McClay, director of short courses, said. The new two-year program is expected to meet part of the swelling demand for trained per sonnel in the many business al lied with agriculture, Dr. Mc- Clay said. In the new program, students select those courses in the agricultural sciences best aimed at meeting their individual needs Only English, physical education, and the regular mili tary training courses are requir ed.
