Page 6 Ebony and Ivory Dear Ebony and Ivory, I’ve been dating the same guy for the past two years and lately I’ve been feeling rather depressed. Recently, we went out for our anniversary and I had a terrible day, but it wasn’t his fault. The next day, he told me he wanted to break up, because I seemed so sad all the time. Now we are trying to think things through, but I don’t know if we are broken up or still together. Should we just call it quits? - Stuck In Limbo at PSU Brandywine Dear Stuck In Limbo, 1 think that you guys have hit the rewind button on your relation- ship. Remember that even though you re at your lowest point there's only one place to go, thats up! Since you two are trying to work things out; remember that you arent giving up, just taking sometime apart. You now have the opportunity to expand your horizons. While you have this time off, reflect back on your relationship and why you were sad all the time...keep in mind that love IS blind and just be- cause you love someone doesnt mean that you have to be in love with them. Do you really want someone in your life that leaves you at a time of need? There is no reason to feel sorry for yourself. Life has its ups and downs. Emotions are a rollercoaster that has two seats. Look at this situation as a speed bump in your life. You have to slow down but you can get over it. Relationships are a tricky obsession that everyone is addicted too. Obviously, this is a huge tragedy since he was so young and such a talented actor, but will the cause of his death become a bad example for adolescent admirers? If this death was pill related, should the country be raising Ledger to an iconic status? Or do the pills Ledger was allegedly surrounded by only shed light - on the drug epidemic sweeping As of now there is no conclu- sive cause of Ledger’s death but it is being confirmed as a possible overdose whether intentional, or unintentional. This is a tragic incident regard- less of the cause, but how many February 2008 and Starlets in Hollywood in and out of rehab? Amy Wine- house, Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton are _ all prime examples of some bad role models that headline the news with tales of their misdeeds. Do these stories glorify binge drinking, reckless driving, recreational drug use and so many more activities that set negative examples? Ledger will be remem- bered as a talented actor who stood up for his beliefs and was not afraid of controversy. Strong Spanish and Cuban influences have been a part of Key West starting from the discovery of the island, which was originally named Cayo Hueso or “Bone Key”. Visiting Key West is like stepping back into time. You will find that the island has continued to grow with its original influences, Cuban culture. The island has adopted Cuban culture and many other island customs, which shows in the color- ful diverse surroundings. Down these roads, you will discover mom and pop restaurants, small local fishing towns, and authentic Spanish shopping. If at night you’re craving more energy, cruise down to Duval Street. Duval Street is packed with poplar bars and restaurants, cafes, shopping and anything else you could desire. The excitement will leave you breathless and because this island is so diverse with lifestyle, at night you will see things unimaginable in Philadelphia. You can relax and enjoy the scenery at many of their outdoor cafes, or join the locals at Margaritaville. Walk down Duval Street and enjoy the sunset at the southern most tip of the continental United States. Walk a few more blocks and discover Earnest Hemingway’s house.
