March 5, 1997 — LION’S EYE — Page 5 Dean’s List Delco Honors Its Finest One hundred and twenty students were named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 1996 semester, or about eight percent of the full time equivalent student population at the Delaware County Campus. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above to achieve this honor. Fifteen students on the list earned a GPA of 4.00. ~~ Campus registrar, Joyce Rigby, announced the following students on Elected Elite Secretary, JoAnne Johnson Delco Learns Civil Rights By Teresa Buono “Civil Rights” is the theme of many special programs on campus this scmester. One of the outstanding presenters on this theme is Father Paul Washington, from the Episcopal Church of the Advocate in Philadelphia. He will share his experiences as an outspoken activist during the 1960's Civil Rights Movement at a special program on Wednesday, March 5, at 9:30 AM in 116 Vairo. Father Washington is sponsored by Dr. Nancy Wyatt's communication class, and all members of the campus community are invited. A reception for Father Washington follows in the Library Lounge 10:30-11:30 AM. Students interested in attending should contact Dr. Nancy Wyatt by stopping at office 212 in the Main Building or phoning 610-892-1428. Later in the month, Ms. Lillian Green of the Balch Institute will give a presentation on the Civil Rights Movement illustrated through photography and poetry. The program will take place on March 17, 12:30 in the Student Lounge, Main building.
