During the last month, All Seasons Vending provided night time students with free samples of new products they plan to stock in their vending machines. Fresh fruit and hoagies were up for grabs to the pleasant surprise of many evening students. : The vending machines on our campus have already proved popular with hungry students who find themselves without time to visit the cafeteria or other nearby restaurants. To complement the current selection, which includes among other things milk, yogurt, sandwiches and soups, All Seasons is planning to add fresh fruit in the near future. Among the students who Campus Child Care Possible At Delco Would you like child care to be available here on Campus? Yes or no, the office of Student Programs and Services wants to hear from you. They are currently investigating the possibility of offering child care services on campus which would be available to students, staff and faculty. “Campus opinion is important to us,” said Peter Coleman, Director of Student Programs and Services. “Confidential surveys about campus child care are now available in 106 Main Building in the Student Program and Services area. Stop in and let us know what you think.” Surveys must be handed in by December 1, 1992. sampled the consumables was sophomore Artin Armani. “The hoagies were really good and the fruit was fresh.” But, as he also noted, “The sample food hadn't spent the day in a vending machine.” Students who sampled the food were asked to fill out a survey form for All Seasons. The results from the survey were positive, according to Joe DeAngelo of All Seasons Vending, and his company plans to introduce fresh fruit in some of the vending machines located in the cafeteria and the main building. Due to a power distribution problem in the library, All Seasons is unable to install a cold foods machine there. According to Mr. DeAngelo, however, the problem is being worked on and as soon as sufficient power is available, a new machine will be installed there. <= COX O—-HOmmn MXC —X>IMT Dr. Wayne McMullen, Assistant Professor of Speech Communica- tion. Opinions Solicited Photo by: DIANA MICERI Administration & SGA Seek Feedback On Building Use By Caroline Kalafut The new classroom building at Penn State Delco is no longer a hope for the future but a near reality. State Senator Clarence Bell was the first contributor in the matching funds initiative for the building, with a $50.00 check. At the present time, there is no new information on the new building site, architectural plans, or overall costs. There is also no targeted starting date for construction. In fact, Campus CEO Dr. Ed Tomezsko is now in the process of rethinking all campus planning. The first priority is getting as many classrooms as possible. The next in importance is student activity space. Dr. Tomezsko believes there is a basic need for quiet study lounges. He is so committed to this idea that he is thinking of converting one classroom in the main building to a study room. SGA president Tracy McLouglin is prepared to act as a conduit for any ideas students may have on campus layout, building use, and space needs. She favors, eventually, centering all student activities in the Athletic-Commons Building. : The Lion’s Eye has made a box on this page asking for student responses. If you agree or disagree with either suggestion, please make the appropriate opinion. Feel free to add any new ideas or comments in the lower space. Tear out the box and place them in the containers placed throughout campus. “We want to know how you (the student body) feel about our ideas,” said Tracy. “Don’t forget, we are still sponsoring free lunches at the Lion’s Den,” she added. “This is your chance to interact one-on-one with Dr. Tomezsko. Anyone who is interested may check with me in the SGA office in the Lion's Den.” Tracy and Dr. Tomezsko are waiting to get campus reactions to these questions.” STUDENT POLL 1.
