Student Poli Shows Clinton To Be Winner By Artin Armani On October 6, 1992, at the Penn State Delaware County Campus, fifty students were asked to participate in a Presidential Election survey. In the survey, the students were asked to choose the candidate they would vote for if the election were to be held that day. At the bottom of the survey, students had the option of stating their reason for their choice. The choices on this survey were: Bush, Clinton, Perot, and Undecided. After the surveys were conducted, the results were tallied. Clinton had the most votes with 26, which consisted of 13 males and 13 females. One of the students who participated in the survey stated his reason “I chose Clinton because he has some good ideas and believes in America’s youth, and Hillary isn’t bad looking.” : : Coming in a not-so-close second was Republican President George Bush, receiving 8 votes with only 3 males and 5 females. One of these voters gave his reason for choosing Bush: “Although Bush has not been one of our greatest Presidents, he has good foreign relations, which Clinton knows nothing about. I don’t feel that Clinton is experienced enough to run our country.” In last place, Ross Perot received 2 votes with 1 coming from each gender. One enthusiastic student declared, We need a businessman to run a business job.” Of the 50 students who participated in the survey, 14 declared they were “undecided.” CAMPUS PRESIDENTIAL POLL 4% Perot 52% Clinton CAMPUS POLL - MALE RESPONDENTS 11% Bush 7% Undecided : 48% Clinton 4% Perot CAMPUS POLL - FEMALE RESPONDENTS 22% Bush 4% Perot 57% Clinton
