Those thoughts seemed to be echoed by Barb Rostick, Athletic Trainer, Department of Sports Science, who said, “obviously it’s a shame, but rules are set down by the college, and have to be followed. I think this action will help next spring's team.” ‘ : With a disappointing 0-8 record this season, Head Coach Jim Diskin has plenty of work to do this winter to prepare for next season. Young people need direction, and I also learned a few things.” With a strong precedent for discipline now in place, the coach does not expect any more problems to arise. In reviewing the fall season, Coach Diskin was pleased with the play of the teams defense, which only averaged two errors per game, down from over three last year. The teams batting average was a respectful 251. The real need for improvement is the pitching. That team will then have to play the winner of the first match. Good luck Lions!
