— LION’S EYE — November, 1990 by Angela Deal Rumor has it that your children’s children will not be able to drink the earth’s water, due to waste. If my mind serves me correctly, this could be quite a problem. Pretty discouraging, eh? In light of this and a thousand other pro- blems, Penn State Delco is developing a club to inform and educate our campus concerning earth conservation. This Global Awareness Group is an organization on its way, and not a Global Awareness Group Prods _ Campus Environmental Conscience problems which directly affect everyone in the long run, and for the worst, if not confronted now. Cathy Hagarty, Presi- dent of the Global Awareness Group and Commissioner for Recycling, plans to organize a group that will relay to students the problems of the earth and the seriousness of these problems. Each member (with approximately fif- teen members already) is quite serious about the organization. In fact, most of the members are in some way involved in community Earth Awareness commit- programs being planned for some time around Christmas. Also, be sure to watch for flyers, which will announce dates and times for upcoming events, including possibly something special planned for the spring. The club’s sessions will address global awareness topics. Anybody can join. A meeting is a promising way to spend your time and recognize the problems and possible solutions to our earth’s con- servation problems. NOVEMBER ; @ : The Circus 1.
