If I had to pick two of Kribs' best "numbers'' 1 at the Coffeehouse they would be, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", Kribs' favorite, and "Love the One You're With," by Stephen Stills. Kribs' version of "Rainbow" was so magnificent that only the late Judy Garland could have sung it better. As far as "Love the One You're With" is concerned, it was a rowdy but superb rendition of Stills' tune. Kribs' outstanding performance did not go unappre ciated by his audience. After he performed the piece that he had announced as his last, he recieved lengthy applause and a standing ovation. He then did "Lady" by John Denver and "San' 1 Diego Serenade" by Tom Waits as en cores, both which were almost disappointments compared to Kribs' previous selections. High fa- Kribs' has been called a folk-singer but he himself disagrees with this label, "I'm not a folk-singer. I'm a folk-style singer. I'm a Disco Duck. I don't know what the hell I am." All in all, Kribs was extraordinary. And I have but one complaint of the evening: the donuts were stale and the coffee was cold.
