ERRATA Because of an unfortunate oversight, the name of a fifth Highacres professor promoted during the summer term did not appear ir the COLLEGIAN's last issue. He is Dr. Samuel Prich ard, who is now assistant pro fessor of speech. He received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Redlands and his Ph.D. from Penn State., Before joining the Highacres faculty in 1970, he taught at Univer- sity Park for 4 years. He al so teaches summer institutes for the Dept. of Labor Studies. Mary Fran Postupack has been sworn in as a sophomore represent ative. The newly elected freshman representatives are Patti Blust, Kathy Guis and Kim Reich. Other SGA members are President Warren Faust, Vice-president Mark Denke, Secretary Amy Velenchik, 7reasurer Joyce Grego and Representatives John Busher, Ken Heydt, Jim Horrex, Janet Kiss, Mary Melenchick, Joe Morris, Mike Petresky, Paul Porpiglia, Carole Shenosky, Debbie Snyder, Nelson Thomas, David Trumbauer and Jack Yatsko. New purchases include a large weather and small helium balloons for advertising pur poses, and several cartoons to be shown before movies. Las Vegas Nite at Htghacres The Student Union Building will be transformed into a rollicking casino when the Highacres Campus sponsors Las Vegas Night. The legalized gambling will begin at eight 0 1 clock on Friday, November 2. The entertainment will include black jack, craps, horse racing, and the Lucky Wheel. The casino will be complete with local "Barkers", "Callers" and lovely "Cowgirls". There will be refreshments and chances to win valuable prizes. FRANK C. KOSTOS, FORMER DIRECTOR - HAZLETON P.S.U. The Frank C. Kostos Award has been established at The Pennsylvania State University by friends of Mr. Kostos, who was director of the Hazleton Campus from 1954 until his re tirement on July 1, 1973, and earlier had served on the en gineering faculty at Hazleton, beginning in . 1946. The award will be made an nually to the Hazleton Campus student, in the baccalaureate degree program ranking highest at the end of the sophomore year, and to the highest rank ing student who is eligible to receive the associate degree. The award will consist of a replica of the Nittany Lion, appropriately inscribed, and a sum of money. Recipients will be select ed by the scholarship committee of the Hazleton Campus with the approval of the director of student aid. Mr. Kostos, a native of Mt.
