He made the only free throw he received. Coach Sweeting remarked, "Doug has been one of our leading scorers all season, and consistently makes his 20-foot jump shots from the floor." Today is the last day to turn in team rosters for intramural volleyball. Winterkhane Results On sunday February 4, the Behrend Campus Sports Car Club held its second automotive speed event... the'Winterkhana" in the school's center parking lot. The Winterkhana, usually called the gymkhana or trace, consisted of a small road course in which the cars, one at a time, competed against the clock. The cars were divided into different classes according to body style, performance and handling ability. The members of the club wish to thank all of you participants and spectators ali?,r,e for making the Winterkhana a success. We also wish to express our apperciation to Penelec for the road pylons used to mark the course end the gentlemen at PIT STOP 26th and Sassafrass Streets, for the trophies which were awarded to the winners of each class. The last time the Cubs played in Dußois they set a record of 137 points scored. This time it was a different story. The first half was comparatively conservative (compared to the second half) with Dußois trailing by only ten points at the half. The last period was a different story with Dußois outshooting Behrend, 47t0 42 0 led by Larry Nelson of Dußois with 27 points. At one time late in the game Dußois trailed by, only one point but, the Cubs managed on and pulled out a 82.77 victory. High for Behrend were Doug Moorhead with 25, and Dan Fry with 22. Game high honors went to Larry Nelson of Dußois with 47 points. Tuesday night the Cubs hosted Jamestown Com munity College. The name of the game was ball control, and Behrend played it to perfection. Control of both the offensive and defensive boards combined with an overpowering fast-break enabled the Cubs to coast to an easy 89-75 win. High scorers for the game were again Doug Moorhead and Dan Fry, with 29 and 24 points respectively. The most important game of the season is this Saturday, February 10, against the Altoona Campus. The Cubs must win in order to get in the PJCAA state tournament, to defend its state championship title. The team must also make a good showing in this game in order to participate in the Common wealth Campus Tournament, March 1 and 2, at University Park. This is an away game, and the bus leaves at 9:00 a.m. Saturday for the trip to Altoona. There are only fifteen seats to be filled.
