On the right side, click Add Channel 5. Next to categories on the left side, scroll down to Penn State Harrisburg. A list of channels will appear. One of them is PALS status. PALS stands for Page Accounting and Login system. 6. Click on the PALS Status channel and click the Add button 7. Click the Save button. Purpose: The Award is intended to recognize and reward an employee who has demonstrated a commitment to celebrat ing diversity by initiating steps to create a welcoming climate and/or eliminate discrimination through encouragement or understanding. Eligibility: Full or part-time employee with a minimum of three years' continuous service to the college community. Nomination Procedures: The Diversity and Equity Committee will solicit nominations which include a completed nomination form and supporting materials limited to five attachments demonstrating evidence of diversity accomplishments that go above and beyond the typical expectations for faculty and staff; and a minimum of three letters of support. Self-nominations will not be accepted. All supporting materi als are due by March 15, 2004. Selection Process: The Committee is responsible for administer ing this award and will evaluate nominations through an open, competitive process. Recommendations will be forwarded to the Dean for the final decision. If no nominee meets the requirements of this award, no award will be given. Award: This award will be presented at the annual Awards Convocation. The recipient will receive a cash award of $5OO and the recipient's name will be placed on the Diversity and Equity Award plaque.
