Well I must say that while the articles in the Cap Times are very interesting and well written, the quality of the paper is less than expected. I’ve noticed several common editorial and proofreading errors, that could’ve been caught if a team of editors proofed the copy prior to print. For example, right off in the caption on page 3 “One of te many new offices...” Second, and most important, are the elements of layout and design which Qeed improvement. As an editor myself, I feel confident in giving you a bit of advice “Just because you have a million of different fonts to use, doesn’t mean you have to use all of them.” Also be consistant with such things as headlines and bylines. The front page has too much going on and the photo of the needle in the arm is in poor taste for a cover photo. My suggestion, read up on the rules of layout and design. Right now the paper is so cluttered and busy and disorganized, that I am ashamed to say it is a product of our campus. Please do justice to those well-written articles and the reporters who write them by improving the paper. And remember, you asked for our opinions, and that’s all I’m doing.
