Any member of the Executive Board or Senate who shall accumulate three unexcused absences in any one academic session, is derelict in their duties, or illustrates individual misconduct that may seriously damage the public image of SGA shall be subject to impeachment. Any member of the Student Court who shall accumulate two unexcused absences in any one academic session, is derelict in their duties, or illustrates individual misconduct that may seriously damage the public image of SGA, shall be shall be subject to impeachment. Only students can bring up a charge of impeachment. The charge of impeachment must go in writing to the highest ranked Executive officer who isn’t being charged, and the SGA Advisor. If they decide the charge is valid then it will be sent to the impeachment board. Impeachment Board will consist of: Director of Student Affairs SGA Advisor One Executive Board Member not under investigation, chosen by a random method. One Senior and one Junior Senator not under investigation, chosen by a random method. Chief Justice of the Student Court unless it is the Chief Justice under investigation. In such an event, it will be the most senior Justice on the Court. le Impeachment Board will hold a swift and just hearing to termine if the charge of impeachment is valid. If they vote by two rds majority to impeach then their decision will be brought before ; Senate. the Board votes to impeach, the rights and duties of said member 11 be suspended until the Senate votes to remove or acquit the :mber. :moval The SGA Senate will be presided over by the Chief Justice for a removal hearing of an Executive Board or Senate member. The Chair of the Meeting will preside over the removal hearing of a court justice.
